"Jessica" hook is traveling
The hook project is off the ground now. It is going to Tristi in Ohio first. I wanted to send it somewhere close, hoping it would arrive to her before the week was over. Being it is is cold right now I even crocheted it a little cover to keep warm. I sent it out in Jimbo's original box as any of us that have ever received a hook from Jimbo knows what that little box is the minute we glance it in our mailbox. Of course it is also wrapped in Jimbo's famous red felt as I wanted to make sure that it had an extra cushiony ride , no bumpy rides for our precious delivery.

The Jessica Hook has arrived
I received a wonderful package from Jimbo today. The Jessica hook is in my hands as I type (hate to let it go). I am hoping to send it on the way to the first participant by the end of the week.
I am making a list and checking it twice. I am not closing sign-ups for this as I want to make as many items as possible until the hook wears out. The hook will travel as long as necessary and as long as there are participants wanting to contribute, either to the FARA blog, through Jimbo's blog, or by making squares and sending them to me. Please let us know what you plan on doing with the hook. I will be sending out invitations to author the bog and we can use it as a journal.
We will be making afghans and if we choose to make other donations, that is totally your choice. Any donations are welcome , just use the hook, gain awareness and share the love.
As a group I would like to have 8" squares made and sent to me for Jessica's afghan and I will also be putting together afghans to auction with the proceeds going to FARA.

The hook is completed
Jimbo has the hook on his blog, it is beautiful. I am looking forward to holding it and knowing that I can help a great cause at the same time. It has been decided that we will all make a square to make an afghan for Jessica ( after whom the hook is named),also any additional squares will be made into afghans for others afflicted with FA
We would also appreciate any donation to FARA to help find a cure. All donations are accepted. Click on the link at Jimbo's blog to make a donation through him(PayPal) or to the FARA link in this blog to make it directly from their site. As soon as we get a few more participants I can give you a general idea of when you may receive this wonderful gift that Jimbo has made to help raise funds for FA research.
Thank you Jimbo for your kindness, let's start crocheting and get those donations rolling in.
